The State of Texas issued the Amber Alert late Monday night (11-23) after the girl was reportedly abducted in Shepherd. Shepherd is north of Houston. The girl is considered to be in grave or immediate danger.
Angela Rodriguez , a 14 year old Hispanic female, 5' 1", weighing 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue and white Jordan shoes and gray capri pants.
The suspect is Joaquin Garcia, an 18 year old Hispanic male, 6' weighing 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has spiky hair and acne all over face. He was las seen wearing a brown shirt with an eagle on the front, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
The suspect vehicle is a blue-green 1999 Chevy Malibu 4-door with Texas license LHF-502.

Amber Alert Issued for 1 Month Old South Carolina Boy

The State of South Carolina issued the Amber Alert Monday night (11-23) after the boy was abducted in North Charleston. According to reports the child's mother left the child in hoer car while she went into a post office to drop off mail. Upon her return the child was gone. According to a witness a suspect was seen getting into the suspect vehicle with the child in her arms.
Angel Miguel Perez , a 1 month old Hispanic male weighing 11 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue pants, white shoes and a blue hat.
The suspect is stocky black female in her mid-20s, approximately 5 feet 1inch and 175 pounds. She was wearing a blue and white vertical stripped shirt and possibly boots. She has straight black hair between her ears and shoulders.
The suspect vehicle is a gray, four door compact vehicle.

The State of Florida issued the Amber Alert Tuesday (10-20) after the girl was apparently abducted on her way home from school in Orange Park on Monday afternoon (10-19).
Somer Renee Thompson a 7 year old white female, 3' 5" tall weighing 65 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt under a cranberry colored sweat suit with pink stripes running down the arms and legs. She possibly has a red bow in her hair and may have been wearing a white hat and a white scarf.

The State of Texas issued the Amber Alert Friday (10-16) after the boy was reportedly abducted by the suspect in Denver City. Denver City is near the New Mexico-Texas state line, about 30 miles east of the New Mexico town of Lovington. The child's mother was found murdered at the child's home and the suspect is wanted in connection with the murder.
Mitchell Romero a 3 year old Hispanic male, 2' 8" tall weighing 35 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
The suspect is Mario Romero, an Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, 5'7" and 205 pounds.
The suspect vehicle is a maroon 2004 GMC Yukon with Texas license plate 43WFX6.

The State of Texas issued the Amber Alert Wednesday (10-13) after the boy was reportedly abducted by the suspect in Justin over night Tuesday (10-13). The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
Malakai Izaak Mascorro a 1 year old Hispanic male, 2' 8" tall weighing 21 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a yellow Sesame Street onesie.
The suspect is Jose David Mascorro, a 24 year old Hispanic male, 5-feet-11-inches tall and about 185 pounds with brown hair and eyes. He was last seen wearing grey basketball shorts and a black t-shirt. He has a tattoo of last name on his upper back.
The suspect vehicle is a gray 2008 Dodge Magnum with Texas tag number BB6K357.

The State of Texas issued the Amber Alert Wednesday afternoon (10-07) after the girl was reportedly abducted in Tyler. The victim and the suspect were last seen in Richardson early Monday morning (10-05). The suspect has mental issues and the child is considered to be in serious danger.
Ericka Faith White a 13 year old White female, 5' 1" tall weighing 105 pounds with blond hair and b;us eyes. She was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket and blue jeans. She goes by the name Star or Stargazer and refuses to answer to her given name.
The suspect is Blake Austin Miller, aka Joker, 5 feet 6 inches tall with brown hair and green eyes and weighs about 140 pounds. Police said he is fond of carrying knives and has bad acne.
There is no suspect vehicle information at this time.

The State of Texas issued the Amber Alert Monday morning (09-14) after the girl was reportedly abducted by the suspect in Fort Worth. The suspect is armed and considered dangerous. The child is considered to be in extreme danger.
Mirella Collazo a 15 year old Hispanic female, 5 feet 1 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes. She has a heavy build and was last seen wearing a black sweater, white shirt and blue jeans. She has tattoos of hearts on her neck and ankle.
The suspect is Larry Sigala, a 16 year old white male, 5 feet 7 inches, 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
The suspect vehicle is a 1994 Green Ford Ranger Pick up with Texas license number 94BYL2.

This Code Amber Alert was issued after the children were abducted by the suspect in Frederick Maryland on August 24, 2009. A felony warrant for Kidnapping was issued for the suspect on September 2, 2009. They may be traveling to Miami or West Palm Beach, Florida. No Amber Alert was issued in this case.
Kathryn Esther Leverenz a 12 year old white female, 5 feet tall, weighing 90 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Andrew Robert Leverenz a 10 year old white male, 4 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 78 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

The State of Idaho issued the Amber Alert early Thursday morning (08-20) after the boy was reportedly abducted from his home in Boise. The suspect reportedly knocked on the door and asked to see the boy. The suspect then took the boy and fled in the listed vehicle.
Luca Principali a 7 year old white male, 4 feet tall, weighing 60 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black Star Wars T-shirt with a picture of Darth Vader and the Emperor on it, camouflage knee length shorts, and was barefoot. He goes by the nickname of Goober.
The suspect is an Unknown White Male 45 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 190 lbs. with brown hair, a full beard with a short hairstyle that is thinning on top. He was last seen wearing a Red, white, purple, green horizontal striped short sleeve t-shirt and blue jeans.
The suspect vehicle is a 2009 Chrysler Town & Country Mini Van with California tag number 6GQC981.

The State of Nevada issued the Amber Alert Saturday morning (07-11) after the children were reportedly abducted on Friday (07-10) in Washoe county. They were last seen with the suspect in the Sun Valley area. Sun Valley is approximately 10 miles north of Reno.
Tyson Mata-Martinez (above left) a 4 year old white male, 2' 6", weighing 40 pounds.
Megan Mata-Martinez (above middle left) a 7 year old white female, 2'10" weighing 55 pounds.
Jakelyne Mata-Martinez (above middle right) an 8 year old white female, 3' weighing 60 pounds.

Sautrday was spent happily at our table, talking with dear friends and Star Blazers fans, their kids and even GRANDkids, from all over. Dave and I each had panels on Sunday, “Anime Old Fogies” and “Making Your Voices Heard”, each with a really good crowd.
More good news - we got two new con invites!!! One is Northern Michigan Anime Con next year in April, and the other has an unusual name that Dave has written down, but he’s out shopping right now, so I’ll tell ya later!
Monday came all too soon, and we were able to hang with the gang and do much laughing and munching until it was time to head for the airport. Many hugs to John, Liz, James, Jessica, Colin, Julie, Brian, Phil, and the entire JAFAX team - we can’t wait for next year!

McCleary is a small town of about 1,500 residents and is about 15 miles west of Olympia. There is no evidence of foul play in this case but the FBI is joining the investigation and search today (Monday 06-29). The FBI will also be bringing in additional law enforcement personnel to help in the investigation and search. No Amber Alert has been issued in this case.

The State of Colorado issued the Amber Alert early Saturday morning (05-23) after the boy's parents failed to show up for a court appearance in Colorado Springs on Thursday. Custody of the boy was transferred to the state of Colorado due to allegations of child abuse. The boy requires medical attention due to sever burns he suffered in April to his hands. Police believe the suspects may be headed to Mexico with the boy.
Emanuel Guzman a 2 year old Hispanic male, 2', 30 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.
There are two suspects. Carmen Aguilera is a 30 year old Hispanic female, 5' 6", 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Benito Guzman is a 29 year old Hispanic male, 5' 8", 180 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and has a mustache.
There are two possible suspect vehicles, a tan 2004 Ford pickup with Colorado tag number 491-SKZ or a brown 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Colorado tag number 781-SLH.

Such is the case for the happy Wilsons! About a week ago, I checked the "refund status" page on IRS.gov, and found that ours was due to be mailed on March 6th. Then, this morning, Dave pulled the following out of the mail box....
Two envelopes from the IRS, each containing notification of our refund status. Not the refund, mind you, but simply notification of the forthcoming funds, along with a second sheet of paper with a "tear off and send back with payment or correspondence" coupon thingy - which took up only about a third of the page and could have easily been printed on the first sheet, but that's a rant for another day....
One envelope addressed to each of us.
Married couple.
Same last name.
Same address.
Joint return.
Dated March 9.
Which hasn't even happened yet - which brings me to another point - the letter said that we should have the check in about 3 weeks. A notice dated tomorrow, which got here yesterday, (geeeeee, can't imagine how THAT happened........), telling us that it would be 3 weeks before we see any actual MONEY.... Well DUH! Of course it'll take 3 freakin' weeks if you people do nothing but spend your time writing stupid letters!!!
We stood in the kitchen, howling to the point of tears, and picturing someone actually complaining about being sent a check without warning - coz this just seems to go way above and beyond the usual "bureaucracy at it's finest" excuse.....
"HEY! The IRS sent us a check without letting us know about it!!! We're just going to send this check back to them and tell them we don't want it!!! That'll teach them to tell us first!!! The nerve!!!"

The sate of Missouri issued the Amber Alert Friday after the girl was abducted sometime before 9:15 AM Friday morning. The girl's mother's body was found in her apartment at that time. Some reports state that the mother was last heard form on Wednesday evening (03-04).
Allyson Corrales is an Hispanic, 4 years old, 3'8" tall and weighs 40 pounds. She has brown hair and eyes.
The suspect is a person of interest in a homicide investigation. Luis Corrales is a 31 year old Hispanic male. No further description is available at this time.
The suspect vehicle is a Red 1999 Kia Sportage with Missouri tag number PB1 R3R.

The reward for information leading to her recovery has been increased to over $25,000 according to Putnam County Sheriff's officials.
We currently pay 4 (that's FOUR!) phone bills every month - Verizon for landline, AT&T for Long Distance, Earthlink for DSL, and Sprint for the cell phones! GAAAAA!!!

Welsh Rarebit (pronounced "rabbit") Read all about it...
1 1/2 T Butter
1 1/2 T Flour
1 1/2 C Milk
1 C Spreadable cheese (Cheese Whiz is awesome)
(The recipe that we have calls for 1/2 t Salt, but I omitted it. Try it once without... you may be pleased).
1/2 t Dry mustard
Dash of Paprika
In a sauce pan over medium heat , melt the butter and add the flour. Cook for several minutes until the mixture turns a golden brown.
Slowly stir in the milk, and cook - stirring regularly - until it comes to a rolling boil and thickens.
Add the cheese, and stir until it melts.
Stir in the spices, and cook for several minutes more.
Serve over plain toast, toast with slices of tomato, add bacon, use your imagination! It's "lick the dish" delicious, gang - Enjoy!
